Do you suffer from UTI frequently or at less once a year? I did not know much about this infection until the time that I was infected. I was very scared as I felt pain and saw blood in my urine, and on top of that, it occurred to me at night in a foreign country. Without understanding the language, I had to ask my male friend to find a pharmacy and describe the symptoms to the pharmacist for me. It was under control for a couple of days before the symptom came back and the medicine did not help anymore.
Finally, we found a female pharmacist who understood the illness and suggested the proper medication which eventually cured me. Now I am more knowledgeable about this, and realize it was risky to take medicine that I do not know (in foreign language). I have experienced UTI once again after my first time, and lucky I was able to see a doctor right away. I guess I am writing to ask anyone who know if there is any over the counter medicine which I can bring with me when travelling.
Thanks
