I had a D&C and Laproscoic surgery in Sept 06 because of fibroids. Ever since that surgery I have felt worse. My GYN said that he got most of the Fibroid. After the surgery my periods were worse with cramping that I never experienced before. I kept going back to him for extreme bleeding and pain, Back pain, heavy bleeding and extreme cramps. He wanted me to do an endometriosis study, he never told me I actually had endometriosis. I thought about it, but didn't feel like that was going to fix my problem, so I didn't do the study. I lost my job in December 06 because I missed to many days. My GYN dismissed me and said my back pain was from something else, he recommended I see an orthopedic doctor. I had and MRI done and they found I had 2 herniated disks in the lower back region. I don't remember what number. 5 and 7 I think. My back doctor recommended I have surgery. so in March 07 I had back surgery. My back is still sore, but I'm not sure if it's from my back operation or the fibroids.
I am with Vocational Rehabilitation through jobs ect. I do not have insurance. They have been wonderful paying for my surgeries.
I switched to a diff't GYN and he did an ultra-sound. I still have the fibroids. He put me on Fem Gest a progestrone cream and I'm taking a daily multi-vitamin. My periods are so heavy that I have to wear depends underwear. It's the only way I'm not going through a pad every 10 minutes, and that I can sleep somewhat peacefully.
I'm going in for another D&C and laproscopic surgery on Feb 6th, 08. This is my last attempt before I have a hesterectomy.
I'm not working. Who's going to hire me when I'm out for a week a month.
Does anyone know how I can get some financial help to pay my living expenses?
Am I making the right choice as to having a second D&C and laproscopic surgery?
I am 37 yrs old. I'm going out of my mind.
