Fibroids with nausea and paleness?

Last week my new doctor told me I have uterine fibroids. I did not know anything about them at that time, so I did not ask what kind, what size, etc. I have two more weeks until my GYN appt. where we will "dicuss my options." Despite all my research, I have found little info that relates to the symptoms I've had.

It started eight months ago with nausea and pain in my right ovary and right kidney. My old doctor blew me off and blamed chronic constipation. I kept going back over several months telling him that I felt worse and was continually blown off. So, I got a new doctor and he immediately scheduled me for an ultrasound that determined I had fibroids.

In the last week, the pain has become unbearable (I have a high pain tolerance even) and my nausea is getting worse. (Unfortunately, I'm not a puker and just suffer from nausea all day and night.) The doctor gave me something for the nausea, which only somewhat helps, and Hydrocodone for the pain, which does not really seem to help it much. In the last few days, I'm having moments of becoming extremely pale and cold. Unfortunately, I cannot get into the GYN any sooner (I have tried like hell though).

I guess I want to know if this is at all normal for being in my situation. I am hoping to just get a hysterectomy because I am 29 with five kids, three c-sections. Ironically, my fifth child was conceived three years after having my tubes tied (the right tube grew back together!). I do remember the doctor who did my c-sections telling me that my uterus was very thin, large, and tilted. Also, during my last c-section, the doctor was VERY concerned that he had a horrible time getting me to stop bleeding. All of that leads me to believe that removing my uterus would be in my best interest, if Medicaid will pay for it anyway. I apologize for this being so long. Any advice, or even support from others with my symptoms, would be greatly appreaciated.
