fibroid infertility

I amn 39 years old and my partner and I have been trying for a baby for 3 years. I have had two laparoscopy proceedures in just over a year with diagnosed endometriosis. Today I went to have a scan as we are now looking to start down the road of IVF. My scan showed an endometriosis cyst and about 4 fibroids. The largest being on the outside of my womb and about 4 inches long and the smallest is on the inside of my womb at 1 inch long. This small one is apparently just at the point where an egg would rest to begining development having been fertilised. Could this be the problem to my infertility. Am I too old for IVF and is there anything I can do to help me get pregnant. I am dreading another operation but if this will help I will. Can I start IVF with these fibroids my Doctors seems to think possibly but I think I need more reasurance. I also have lupus and time seems to be ticking faster than normal.
