34 - no pregnancies. After a condom slip, I took the ECP. Within days my period started and it has been 10 days now of painful heavy bleeding. I started doing some research online about it and am surprised at how many women suffer from this. I had to cancel my weekend plans because I have already had several accidents and didn't want to risk it again. I figured it would slow down. I am understanding that the hormones from the ECP probably set off the unusual heavy bleeding, mind you my periods tend to be longer and heavier than average but nothing like this. Clots galore and changing of pads/tampons consistently.
I don't understand - Where is all the blood coming from? Is it already there or is my body frantically producing it to shed. I just don't get it. Is it possible that my uterus has this much blood? I don't think it is possible.
I am also in Korea and away from home (Canada) for a year so if I am putting off seeing a doctor as I would have to have my employer assist me and translate which may be uncomfortable considering the situation. I hate this I love sex and I have no libido with all this blood.
