Fibroid Tumors/ Hysterectomy
I was diagnosed with fibroid tumors 2-yrs. ago. I was having excruciating pain and heavy bleeding. All of this happened after I received a tubligation in 2001. The pain eventually ceased, but the bleeding got worse. Once, I was disagnosed with the tumors, I seek to find ways to end this misery. My GYN gave me several options. Embolization, another procedure that involved radiation and the Lupron. I chose Lupron, it consist of receivng a shot in your hip, your choice a 30-day or a 3month, It medicine throws your body into menopause, and I was warned that I would receive all the symptons of a woman that's menopausal. I loved it, I only received a couple of hot flashes that was it. The downside was it's only temporary, you can only receive this shot for 6-months. Once it was over 30-days later my period started back and it only lasted 7-days and I was happy, but the next one came June 25th and lasted well up to July 18th; Thirty-days!!! I won't even go back to the Dr. because I already know what he's going to tell me, so now I'm considering to have a partial hysterectomy without my ovaries being removed.
