Some advice
I was very thankful to find this website.I am 52 y.o. and for the last approx 18 mo have had prolonged and at times extremely heavy periods.I was hoping to be over all this at my age!I just want to thank all the ladies for their stories and advice---it has really helped me to know that I'm not alone and not "overreacting".My last period has been going on for over a month now--on/off;on/off but never completely going away and very heavy over one week.I have had a blood test but gyn is on hols.Anyway will have an US next week but I don't think I have fibroids, I think it's my hormones due to my age.I greatly admire those women who put up with this heavy bleeding for years;but I have deciding pretty much to have a hydrothermay ablation. I urge all those women who feel they have run out of options to consider an ablation; or at the very least to find a good gyn who will really listen---aG.P. is no good.I found another excellent webite---www.nohysterectomy.com which some of you desperate ladies might find helpful.Please don't suffer anymore--in this day and age it really is not right! Thanks again for sharing your stories; but please please get the help you need--you deserve it!!
