endometriosis
Ihave suffered with endometriosis for 9 yrs.After trying various hormonal treatments the endometriosis shrunk and i was relatively okay for awhile.About twelve months ago my periods became more painful andeven when i wasnt bleeding i was getting pain especially where my ovaries are.My periods were every two weeks instead of three lasting for 7 days lately iam bleeding 10to 12 days very heavy and painful.
I am at present waiting to have a hysterectomy in october but my doctor is trying to bring it forward as it is effecting my life considerably.One thing i am very unsure about is wether i should have a full hysterectomy ie:uterus and ovaries removed.My gynaecologist has left the decision with me as he says i am only 39 and ovaries removed would bring on a full menopause,but i dont want to continue with pain from my ovaries,and i have read that there is more chance of endometriosis returning if they are not removed.
